Application |
MRCAT DMCHA, primarily used as a catalyst for rigid foam, is a low viscosity, medium basicity amine catalyst with broad applications, particularly in the production of refrigerator rigid foam, panels, spray applications, and on-site pouring of polyurethane rigid foam. This catalyst has a catalytic effect on both gelation and foaming, providing a balanced catalytic performance. It is particularly effective at catalyzing the reaction between water and isocyanates (the foaming reaction) and also moderately catalyzes the reaction between polyols and isocyanates, making it a strong initial catalyst for foam reactions. In addition to its use in rigid foam, it can also be used as an auxiliary foaming agent for molded soft foam and semi-rigid foam. It is stable in formulating blends, highly adjustable, and can be stored for long periods. MRCAT DMCHA can be used as a standalone catalyst but is typically used in conjunction with other catalysts. Depending on the reaction rate and the physical properties of the foam, the amount used ranges from 0.5 to 3.5 parts per 100 parts by weight of polyether polyol. Furthermore, MRCAT DMCHA can also be used as a stabilizer for fuel oil to prevent the formation of sludge and as a stabilizing additive for petroleum fractions between 150-480°C. It is utilized as a raw material in the pharmaceutical and pesticide industries, as well as in the production of fungicides, disinfectants, leveling agents, and antistatic agents. |
